Dalian International Summer Festival

Dalian International Summer Festival of "Sound of Yida", founded in 2010, was jointly sponsored by CPC Dalian Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department, Dalian Bureau of Culture Broadcast and Television and Yida, aims to create a festival of arts with regional and international influence, presented the city an art feast of top international level for Dalian, the City of Romance to have the fragrance of refined arts.

The slogan of "Sound of Yida", Dalian International Summer Art Festival has been made as "Culture for the People, Culture Benefited the People" to hope for such a sublimation of standard, taste, and influence as international festival and being Dalian's festival day through exchange communication between citizen and artists, and visiting community by art groups.

In the last four years, Dalian International Summer Festival of "Sound of Yida" has invited over ten international performing groups from Germany, France, the United States, Britain, Japan, South Korea, and Belgium; more than ten well-known troupes such as the Chinese Peking Opera, Beijing People's Art Theatre, Shanghai Ballet Theatre, China Oriental Song & Dance Ensemble; and famous artists like Pu Cunxin, Qin Hailu, Liu Xiaoqing and Yu Kuizhi, etc., bringing more than 60 professional performances in Dalian.
