New Year's Concert

As a dedication gift to the Mother City, New Year's Concert of "Sound of Yida" was founded in 1994, has invited well-known national and overseas orchestra as the Finnish Lahti Symphony Orchestra, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, and China National Symphony, to played nearly 70 world-classes symphonic concerts. The annual New Year's Concert of "Sound of Yida" has become a unique mark for Dalian's urban culture construction, and has also uplifted the city's cultural quality.

This has been proved by the venue relocation in the past twenty years: from Dalian People's Culture Club and Radio and Television Center Theater that seated only thousands people, later to the Expo Square multi-purpose hall with over 3000 peoples, till the latest opened Dalian International Conference Center theater with excellent acoustics by the end of 2012, which indicated that Dalian citizen's stronger demand on arts, higher request on professional performance effects, and higher level on appreciation.

New Year's Concert of "Sound of Yida" has invites thousands of volunteers, teachers, polices and children in secluded mountain areas to listen the sounds of nature bring from the world-renowned orchestra. Meanwhile, these opportunities have provided a closed touching between music lovers, arts school students and masters to enhance learning opportunities through organized master class and indoor appreciation concert.
